A notify me button on sold-out product pages is one of the highest-leverage UX patterns in ecommerce. It turns a dead end into a permission-based marketing channel — with the customer’s consent.

A good notify-me experience has two states:

Collapsed (default)

On page load, the widget should be compact — a single row with a bell icon, “Notify me when available”, and a chevron. It should feel native to your theme, not like a popup or banner.

Expanded (on click)

When a shopper clicks, the widget opens into a short form:

Email field (required)
